There’s deep house, then there’s Thunderbolts

July 2, 2009

This, good people, is house music.

I’ve been hearing this joint for a hot second.  I never knew the producer but the cut is fire.  Some serious dancefloor deepness.  Turns out it’s called “Thunderbolts” and it’s by a young cat by the name of Ezel, an NY by way of Puerto Rico house head recently signed to Carlos Mena’s Oakland based Ocha Records.

His website says there’s a full length on the way later this year but in the meantime the site’s got mad downloads and tracks and this you can cop the Thunderbolts and a couple other singles from Traxsource.  Come on, make this dude famous.

update: Damn, turns out dude is behind another current floor banger.  This remix of Nina Simone’s See Line woman.  I don’t think even Ms. Simone thought the track could be quite this funky.
